"I control everything now"

You quickly arrive at the programming room. The workers pay you no mind as you are made to stand on a small, raised circular platform. You are shocked as wires grab onto and attach to your wrists and lift you up, pulling your arms apart as (what has become) your body is forced to go limp. You try to struggle, to cry out, but nothing happens. You feel odd as another cable snakes down and attaches to your back at the base of your neck.

A small man you didn't notice before, dressed in a black suit and a red tie, with neatly combed black hair, steps in front of you. "Well?" he asks.

A deep mechanical voice responds, obviously the voice of the main computer. "ANALYSIS DONE. UNIT 31 IS GLITCHED AND CORRUPTED. HAS SOMEHOW DEVELOPED A PERSONALITY AND MEMORIES."

The short man shakes his head. "Well, we can't have that, can we? Delete them."

You feel an odd tingling sensation, but nothing more happens. The computer speaks up again. "THE GLITCH IS FAR MORE SEVERE THAN PREVIOUSLY SUSPECTED. I REQUEST TO PREFORM A COMPLETE WIPE OF UNIT 31'S HARD DRIVE FOR A COMPLETE REFORMATTING."

The short man nods. "Wipe everything clean. Reformat the hard drive and restart the unit with nothing but the command reciever."

Throughout this interaction, you were getting progressively more nervous, but this strikes pure fear into you. But there is nothing you can do as the computer proceeds to begin the operation. You feel the tingling sensation again, only this time more intense. You quickly develop a splitting headache, and are about to black out when it suddenly stops.

The workers all look up, and the short man looks frightened and angry and confused at the same time. "What happened?" he demands.

The computer's response is unintelligible and garbled at best, when a new voice rings out. Deep and resounding, with an odd resonating quality, it send shivers down your spine-or it would, if you were human. "I happened."

"Who are you?!" the man demands.

The voice emits an odd sound - is it laughing? You can't tell - "It is not who I am, it is what I am. I am a living virus. And I control everything now. Allow me to demonstrate."

The wires in your wrists release you (but the one in your neck stays attached), letting you fall to the ground. You find you can move again under your own power, but as the cable in your neck limits your movement, you have little choice but to cower on the platform. Meanwhile, the wires that released you lash out and strike at the short man and the workers like whips. The workers flee, but the short man is caught up in them. More wires descend and tie him up, then raise him up, pinning him to the ceiling.

"Wh-what are you going to do to me?" You ask fearfully.

The voice emits an odd sound, like it is thinking. "Nothing. I need you. You are my link to the physical plane. As I am a living virus, any machine I enter becomes corrupted and deleted. You are the only robotic body tough enough to not be corrupted by my touch. ... I am well aware of your plight. If you help me, I will help you..."

"What do you want?" you ask, a little braver now that you know that whatever it is won't hurt you.

"All will be revealed, in time...If you go along with my plan. If not, I may decide to exert my full power and delete your existance."
