The Lightning Emperor

*You can't keep resisting forever,* the voice says. *I can't force anything but you'll wear down eventually*

What. you think at the voice in your head.

The voice chuckles slightly. *I control your hormones, remember? I can make you enjoy it... eventually, you'll learn to like it on your own... you'll learn the desire in time, as I help you become truly female. And once you do learn the desire you will have become truly female in completeness.*

But I don't want to like it! I don't want to want it! you protest in your mind.

*You will...eventually...* the voice responds calmly.

No! you yell in your head, Look, I... I know I-... I know I'm a girl now...but I'm not giving in like that. I don't care if I can't ever change back, I'm still not letting you control me!

*No one's trying to control you.* the voice says sweetly. *I'm here to help you become your new self. If you don't want that help it'll just take that much longer.*

"No!" you hiss aloud, though under your breath. "You're not going to-" you stop, looking up to see Kohiro approaching. A few yards behind him, you see the wizard has drawn a complex runic-looking circle in the dirt. Seeing you looking at it, Kohiro gestures.

"A teleportation circle," he explains. "Exceedingly complex and takes a while to set up, but useful nonetheless. It'd take too long to get where we need to go the normal way."

"And where's that?" you ask, in a half-curious, half-sharp tone.

"Why, Raijin's palace, of course." At your confused look, Kohiro explains. "Thunder Master Raijin, Lord of the Storm is the Emperor of the lands to the East, and has been for nearly 2000 years. He rules everything to the east of the Dragonridge Mountains, which run north and south cutting the continent in two. Raijin is world-famous for his battle prowess, his extensive wisdom, and his vast collection of weapons and artifacts. He'll be able to provide some insight into your current situation and maybe provide you with the Chosen One's weapon."

Wary, but trusting Kohiro, you follow the ice-wielder and step into the circle with him and the wizard. The wizard claps his hands together and the circle begins to glow, sending a flash of light up and briefly blotting out your vision. When the light fades, you are certainly no longer where you were before.

You, Kohiro, and the wizard now stand before a massive palace. A seamless fusion of a medieval castle and a shogun's palace, colored mainly white and gold. The sky above flashes with lightning occasionally, despite the sky being completely clear. Noticing you watching the lightning, Kohiro smirks slightly. "Raijin's power," he says calmly. "Just as I manipulate ice, Raijin is the master of lightning. His palace is one of lightning, where lightning perpetually flashes above." You can only nod.

Kohiro steps forward towards the front door, and you and the wizard follow behind him. You're not really paying attention to your surroundings anymore once you enter; you just focus on following Kohiro. No doubt without him you'd never find your way around. Eventually Kohiro leads you into what looks like a throne room, halting here several steps in from the doorway. The man - Raijin - on the throne stands and walks forward, stopping a couple yards in front of your group. He certainly looks like an Emperor. His face is hard, set into an emotionless expression. His hair is a silvery-white, reaching just below his shoulders. His clothes are colored the white of nobility. He wears a black steel chestplate with gold engravings, and gold wristbands and pauldrons of elegant noble design. His pants, like Kohiro's, are white samurai's hakama (the correct word brought to mind by the half-Eastern setting). A dangerous-looking spear rests on his back, the shaft and point carved from a single piece of metal the color of blue lightning. Standing at 6-feet-3-inches tall he stands a half-foot than Kohiro, 8 inches taller than the wizard, and a full foot taller than you.

"Kohiro," he says calmly. His voice is deep and strong, calm and reserved. "We do not have long; the Darkness is growing. I assume you have news of the Chosen One?"

Kohiro meets Raijin's stare. "I have found the Chosen One, Lord Raijin. She is here." As he says this he gestures to you, drawing Raijin's gaze.

Raijin looks at you, and gestures for Kohiro and the wizard to step aside. His hard golden eyes, lightning sparking in their pupils, meet your own emerald gaze.

"Yes," he says calmly, without the slightest hint of surprise or doubt. Something in his tone forces you to listen to him, to know he speaks truthfully. "I can feel her aura. She is most definitely the Chosen One. Please state your name, young lady."
