A Good Place for a Gator

"Did someone ask for an alligator?" Albert grins, crouching down to avoid bumping his head. You can't help staring. The gator looked big back in the gym, but now, standing in your apartment, he looks simply enormous.

"Albert?" you gasp. "What are you doing in my apartment in the middle of the night?"

"First of all, pal," Albert smiles, "it's not night-time any more." You glance at the window. Sure enough, the morning sun is streaming in. "Second," the gator continues, "your front door wasn't closed all the way. I was just making sure you were okay. Man, that is the hairiest pig I've ever seen!"

This last comment is directed at Fred. You are afraid the wolf will be offended, but instead he bounces up happily.

"It's you!" Fred howls. "You must be the alligator the voodoo priestess told me about!"

A look of dismay crosses Albert's face. "Voodoo priestess?" he groans, slapping a clawed hand over his eyes. "Oh, no! Don't tell me she's back in town!"
