A Needle in a Haystack

You reach the outskirts of Fat Town. At last! Fred has consumed 20 of the donuts. Well, 19: your eating one had provoked wails of anguish and such a harangue of abuse from poor Fred that you had pushed another donut in his mouth to calm him down. You feel a bit guilty, but it had tasted wonderful going down. Albert had playfully poked your iron hard midsection, saying, "You'll have to work that off tomorrow, tubby!"

Fred is now dozing quietly around Alberts shoulders, his belly pillowing the alligator's muscular neck. As you get closer to the carnival, you hear laughter, music and other sounds associated with a good time in general. You walk out onto the main street to be greeted by a riot of colours, sounds and people. It looks like Mardi Gras is in full swing. You take another step and the smell of dozens of food stalls hits you, bypassing your brain and going straight to the stomach. It's woken Fred, and his eyes are fixed on the street where the stalls are found. Even Albert's mouth is watering.

From your position, the Carnival looks huge, with a parade, bands, stalls and huge crowds of dancing people. It'll be nearly impossible to find one woman amongst all this!

Where should you start?
