Up: Game 2  Up: Game 2 Outline

What ees thees "con-ten-ooh-et-eee" of wheech you speek?

"Hey, Dragonia, these beignets are great," you are saying. "Do you have the reci..."

You gasp. Dragonia, Velocia, Diana, ... everyone is gone. Instead, strange rectagular planes float in the air where they used to be. Dazed, you rise unsteadily to your feet.

Suddenly, there is a splitting noise, and something falling to the ground at your feet. You glance down to see another sheet, identical to the floating ones but broken in two. You bend over and pick it up.

One half says:
- you find yo
- an increada

The other:
- ur self weighing
- ble 1 ton.

"What does this..." you begin to say, when you notice a third piece on the ground.

- discontinuity: a
- human-sized being
- would not be able
- to stand up under
- one ton of weight.

You glance down at your wiry five-foot-high vulpine form (still wearing the stained riding-hood). "Oh," you say.

As you read the signs floating where Dragonia and her friends were ("excessively vague character description" being a common annotation), you hear a querulous voice from behind say, "Mick?"

"Luke!" you say, spinning around. "You're alive!"

"Ye-e-es," he says, giving you an odd look. "What is this place? I felt an odd spell - was it from here?"

"I ... don't know," you reply. "This was that dragon's den - but she vanished, and all these signs appeared. I think something is trying to ... make the universe consistent, or something."

"Well, we better get out of here quick, if its idea of 'consistency' is to make you a fox," Luke says. You startle.

Luke continues, "We better get going if we're going to get back our old bodies. You coming?"
