Reconnaissance and Flight

After weighing the various options on the list, you are increasingly enticed by the abilities of the Pteranodon. You ask Thomas Van Goys for more information about the species. He tells you that males of this species stand at near the same height as the average human, and females are typically half that size; you should easily fit through the hatch in this form. Thomas also reminds you that Pteranodons, like other pterosaurs, are NOT dinosaurs, even though they lived at the same time. You roll your eyes and think, "Even I knew that."

You can already imagine yourself flying above the forests of the Cretaceous period, searching for any evidence of the temporal disruption. The more you think about it, the more useful - and thrilling - the form sounds. The disturbance could be anywhere, and there is no knowing where the ship landed in relation to your objective. The increased view range and the ability to cover more ground faster would be a substantial boon to the operation.

Is there any reason not to use this form?
