Up: Game 2  Up: Game 2 Outline

Denial much?

The next morning you feel bigger and more bloated then ever. Only to be expected, you tell yourself, but a good work out will take care of that... after work of course. You look in your closet, and pull out your uniform, the only other thin in your wardrobe besides your hippo sweat suit. You really need to go clothes shopping. You pull it on, struggling to pull the extra plus sized jeans around you, it feels tight, as does the shirt. Darn, did you shrink it in the wash, you scold yourself, not thinking about the fact that you hadn't even washed it.

You walk to work again, still telling yourself that it will pay off in the long run. Of course this leaves you sweating and panting by the time you get there. The Lion takes one look at you before frowning, "You look a mess, I can't have you looking like that, go in the back, wash off and get a clean uniform on." he says, and you note the sweat stains on the uniform. Maybe you should start taking the bus instead, you don't want to risk your job, best to keep workouts to after work. You go in back and wash the sweat out of your fur, then grab a new uniform (a nice 'unshrunk' one in a larger size) and slip on on before getting to work.

In the afternoon, the lion passes you off another stack of unsold pizza's. Licking your lips, you think to Albert and how he is going to be taking these. He may even start counting them now that he's expecting you to have them. Well, you need to go home and change anyway... You could just, deposit a few at home and bring the rest... You hop on the bus home and get changed, then wrestle over how many of the pizza's you should take, struggling with the impulse to keep them all. You finally settle on taking in three boxes and waddle back out to the bus.

You walk into the gym, and spot Albert, who hurries over. "Hey, not as big a haul today, huh?" he says, quickly taking the pizza boxes from you. "Well, some days sell better then others," you say, "You don't think I could have maybe just one..." you say, your mouth still watering at the thought, "We'll see," says Albert in a chuckle, "Let's see you work up a sweat and maybe you'll earn a slice or two." he teases.

With he incentive of the Pizza, you manage to hold out for about 30 minutes before you finally flop over in exhaustion, and Albert rewards you with a single slice of pizza, which you quickly devour before heading home. You feel good today, like you've accomplished something. The you smell the pizza in your apartment, the smell permeating the air after sitting there all afternoon. Well, you DID do a good job today, SURELY a little celebration wouldn't hurt, you tell yourself, as you open the first of the soon to be empty pile of pizza boxes...
