Diagnosis Denial

You get some clothes on, noting they are feeling a bit more snug, and head out to the nearest clinic for a walk in appointment. You fill out a form and take a seat in the waiting room, struggling not to fall asleep again. Unfortunately you nod off, and are suddenly awakened when you hear your name called. You groan a little as you get up and follow the nurse back where she takes your weight, which you see has shot up a good 60 lbs since... well, you haven't weighed yourself recently and had a few species changes, but you are sure it is about that much from your average weight. She then takes your blood pressure, and finally you talk to the doctor. You explain your situation and he allows you to take a blood test a blood test, but afterwards, he sits down.

"The results will be back in a few days," he says, but you detect a tone of frustration in his voice. "But... let's be honest here, I've seen enough of this over the past few weeks to know what this likely is." He looks at you frankly, "What you are experiencing is the after effects of heavy binging, I believe the common term is 'food coma'. Cut back on your heavy eating and your energy levels should return to normal, and the extra weight should drop off with some exercise."

You are confused, "But... I'm not binging," you say, knowing you havn't been over indulging in anything, "Couldn't it be something else?". The doctor looks at you, that same frustrated look on his face, "Look, what you do in your personal life is up to you, I'm not here to judge, just give advice." He says, "If you want to binge on junk food, that's your choice, but you don't need to lie to me."

"But I'm not lying," you say, "I just woke up with the extra weight, and I feel bloated all the time. Isn't there some sort of medicine that..." You start, but he holds up his hand, "No, look, I don't know what this bingeing fad is about, and I don't want to know. But don't come in here and lie to me. Medicine isn't going to change your eating habits, and if you are trying to convince your boss that this is a 'medical condition', I'm done writing fake doctors notes. Either take my advice or deal with your life choices, don't waste my time." he says, and stand up and walks out.

You are left in a bit of shock, not expecting the doctor to walk out on you, but you suppose that is partially your fault, it's not hard to guess why there was an influx of people with binging issues since the demon incident, but that leaves you with no clue as to what is happening to you.
