Progress check

You grit your teeth and keep pushing on. You won't get anywhere without a bit of pain. You got yourself here, now your suffering for it, so you swallow your pride and keep going. You get salads for meals, you exercise in your spare time, you do everything Albert tells you to help and more. Finally, after a month, you are feeling stronger and healthier, despite your hunger, and go to get weighed. You can't see the results on a normal scale, which Albert had to tell you error out since you exceed their capacity, so you have to get weighed with a car scale. It's embarrassing, but Albert doesn't make it public so you at least keep some dignity.

You step on the platform and wait as Albert looks at the readout on the computer. "Ok, so How much did I drop," you say, a bit excited for once. After all that work you had to have dropped a ton. "100 pounds?" you ask, "Or more?"

The look on Albert's face makes you rethink your guess. "50?" you say, only to see it look less enthusiastic. "30? 20? 15? 10? 5?" you continue only seeing his expression worsen as you guess lower and lower. "Don't tell me I didn't lose any weight!?" you say.

"Okay... You... uh.... gained 12 pounds." says Albert.

"WHAT!" you say, "NO, that's not possible!" you say, upset beyond belief.

"Well... it could be you been gaining muscle," says Albert. "You know, muscle is heavier then fat."

"Do I look skinnier at least!" you say, still upset. Albert doesn't answer but his look says he doesn't want to, which is answer enough. "ARRRGHHHH!" you yell, unable to believe after all that work you have made 0 progress. You stomp off the scale, leaving before Albert can stop you and begin 'jogging' home.

It's so unfair, you put in the work, you did everything, you ate nothing fattening, and you still gained weight? This is impossible! As you cross town, you feel your hunger again, you've been starving yourself all month trying to slim down, and your fury and frustration has only intensified it. You look around, finally having had it. You need a break. You look around at the stores for something to eat. You don't plan or gorging or anything, but you need a win, a treat for you.
