Up: Game 2  Up: Game 2 Outline

A falling out.

"Arrrrgh," yells Albert looking at your latest weight increase, "This makes no sense," he say, "You should have lost a ton, you should have lost something!" He paces, rubbing his temples as he tries to figure it out. "Well, what about the blood tests." you say, wondering if he had ever got any results back. "The came back fine," he says looking frustrated. He then looks at you, "The only thing has got to be what your eating," he finally concludes. "So, we cut out everything, no dressing, no croutons, nothing with sugar, no breads." he lists, and you grimace. This seems to be getting out of hand.

"Look, maybe we need to throw in the towel," you say, "I mean, we've tried our best and this just doesn't seem to be working for me, and this may be the side effect of all the magic we dealt with, so there may not be any way to change it."

"No, no way, I can get over this, I promise we will get you back to a normal size," he says, "I won't give up, I can do this."

"Wait... don't you mean 'you'" you say, catching his slip, "It sounds like this is more about you beating a challenge, not helping me."

"It is helping you!" he says, "But you can't give up!"

"Let me see your computer." you say, suspicious.

"What, no!" he says, but you grab it, your stomach bouncing him away before he can attempt to take hold of it. You see your weight, and another window open. You click on it and see a media feed, tracking your progress, and it looks like he has been advertising you online. "Are you... are you using me to promote your weight loss program?" you ask, as you look through the routines he has put you through listed on his site.

"What no, that's just..." he starts.

"Just what?" you say, and turn the computer to face him as you see a picture of yourself now, and a photo listed 'after' which was taken before you gained the weight. "I thought you were my friend!" you say, and toss the computer at him.

"I am!" he says, "I was just trying to help..."

"Stop lying to me," you say, "This was never about me was it!? Just... leave me alone!" you say, stomping off.

You consider going home, but you know Albert would follow you, so you instead head to Beth's store. He won't think to look for you there. Beth asks what's wrong, but you say you don't want to talk about it, and ask if you can stay with her for a few days. She agrees, noticing how upset you are, and sets you up in the guest room.
