Up in Your Room

You decide that more than anything else, you need a moment to rest and collect your thoughts. You go upstairs and sit down at your desk, cradling your head in your arms. After a minute, you look out the window to see if the wolf is still outside. You can't tell, either because of the angle of the window or the pitch blackness of the night.

You run your fingers through the fur on the backs of your hands and ponder the situation. You feel sort of like a hypocrite for not helping the wolf. After all, you can identify with his confusion to some extent. It's not the right time of the month for a full change, though, and you don't know anything about mages. You wish you could just donate money to some charity and forget about it, but what charity could possibly benefit a wolf out in the yard, at least in the short term? Finally, you decide that you have a responsibility to do something, no matter how reluctant you are.
