"Well, there's the Clapper," you respond.
"How does this mechanism work?" asks the boy.
Without missing a beat, you clap your hands together twice, and all of the lights go out. You wait a moment, then clap your hands again. The lights come on again, brighter than ever.
"Astonishing!" shouts the boy. "For the power to do that, I offer you any form that you desire . . . but choose carefully."
