A caricature of a face

After a good deal of travel and an even greater deal of condescension, you reach the Katisha's room in the Imperial Palace. You have heard quite a bit about her, and little of it has been positive. The best that anybody has had to say about her is that "she is only a teeny, weeny, wee bit bloodthirsty, and her right heel is a miracle of loveliness. People come from miles around to see her left shoulder." You knock on the door, and an imperious voice shouts, "Enter!"

Your first glimpse of Katisha confirms your worst suspicions. She is rather elderly, a state which, though not necessarily a great fault on its own, certainly magnifies her extreme unpleasantness. You recall that Koko referred to her as having "a caricature of a face," and you see that he made quite an understatement.

"I assume you are here to help me find my perjured lover, Nanki-Poo," states Katisha, "and I will give you whatever aid you need. Don't affect that sort of pity. I know perfectly well why he ran off before our marriage." You can guess; Nanki-Poo declined to pin his heart upon a lady's right heel. He probably had little choice in the matter.

"I can tell you now," says Katisha, "that I do not know where he went. However, I have found a few things in his room, which I have taken the liberty of searching thoroughly." She reaches into a nearby dresser and pulls out a red sash and a key. "The sash," says Katisha, "was for his favourite outfit. The key opened his wardrobe, which is still mostly. He is clearly in disguise, probably as a commoner, or he would have taken more clothing, of a finer type. I can't tell you what, if anything, is missing from his room; I never was in there before he left."
