Eureka!

Sure enough, across the street from your suburban ranch house is a spooky old castle. Even more interesting is the fact that it is midafternoon at the ranch house but the dead of night at the castle.

You and Fred approach the drawbridge and needlessly are startled by several bats. You laugh off the incident and go inside.

"What exactly are we looking for?" asks Fred. "I mean, would a magic mirror be in the bedroom, the bathroom, or somewhere else entirely?"

You deliberate for a moment. "I doubt that this place has a modern bathroom," you reply, "but since this is a cartoon, a spooky old castle like this must be crawling with secret passages. Why don't we start by looking for one?"

Fred sighs and leans against the wall. Naturally, he backs into the brick that reveals a hidden staircase. You congratulate him and go to see where the staircase leads.
