Two...

You open your eyes almost immediately. The marble is glowing a bright green. It shoots out a wide beam of green light that moves slowly across the room. As it does, things change. The furnishings in the room become more feminine. There are flowers in vases, lacy pillows on chairs, your old football trophy becomes a collector's doll. When the beam passes through the doorway into the next room, you see things changing in there as well. Somehow you know that the beam has passed through walls and is changing the entire house.

The beam hits a jacket hanging over a chair near the door. As you watch, it changes into a woman's blouse. You guess that when the beam hit the bedroom, your entire wardrobe probably became as feminine as the clothes you were wearing.

You hear Fred yell, "Hey, keep that crazy light away from me." You look over and see him backing up as the beam gets closer. Then he's trapped by a chair behind him. The beam hits him. His legs get a bit longer and his wolf's muzzle grows thinner. Then his hair grows out, becoming long, turning blond. In a moment, the wolf has become a golden retriever.

"What did that --" Fred says. He stops in mid-sentence because his voice has changed from his original baritone to a light contralto. He sits on his hind legs and nuzzles at his groin. He looked up at me and actually growled. "You and your stupid marble changed me into a female."

"Bitch, bitch, bitch!" you say, laughing.

By now, the beam has completely circled the room. The beam disappears, and the marble stops glowing.

"So now what," Fred asks. He shakes his head, still getting used to his new female voice.

You decide to go for broke. You close your eyes again and say, "Three."
