Up: Game 3  Up: Game 3 Outline

Well, what else?

"We need to escape!" you shriek in that odd, garbled, underwater voice.

"But how? You've got no legs, I'm a bird, she's a centaur, he's a minotaur, and she's a nymph! None of those creatures were noted for their strength in mythology, were they?" she asks. She seemingly isn't an expert in mythology.

"Hm. Well, Sirens and Harpies are, supposedly, weak in body, but Sirens can enchant people with their voices and Harpies eat human flesh," you murmur in a kind of odd, bubbling hiss. "Nymphs had power over plants..." that causes the crying girl to wail even louder. You notice her transformation is not quite complete - she's becoming ugly. Her skin is being replaced by rough, tight bark, and her luxurious hair is now green and slimy and full of pond weed. She appears to be trying to take root. "But centaurs are supposedly powerful creatures - and wise, too. And minotaurs - or rather, THE Minotaur - was supposed to be truly powerful. Maybe he," you gesture to the Minotaur man, "can get us out of this mess?"

"I'll try!" he yells, and smashes his fist into his cell door. To everyone's surprise, the bars buckle backwards and collapse upon themselves. He quickly smashes your cell doors into nothingness.

"How am I supposed to move?" you ask, looking down upon your beautiful torso at your mermaid-like tail.

"Sirens... hmm... maybe they had some special mechanism to help them walk?" Celia asks in her cawing, bird-like voice. She's awkwardly trying to stand on her clawed, weak feet.

"Ok..." you murmur, and flop out of the water. To your shock, your tail seems to dissolve and is replaced by thin, slender legs. You apparently become totally female out of water - and a beautiful golden dress hides your nakedness.

"Come on, Mary! You can't just stand there!" Celia caws, nudging the tree-girl - or rather, tree-hag. Her skin is now completely like bark. Her body is thick - and, although powerful, covered in worms and weed. Her face is a grotesque parody of a human's, and her legs end not in toes, but in great roots, which are growing at a very fast rate.

"I don't want to! I'm ugly!" she sobs. Her voice is still pretty, but you know, as do the rest of them, that she is now truly hideous.

"That doesn't matter! You HAVE to escape! I promise, we'll get you back to normal!" yells the Centaur-girl.

"You... promise?" asks Mary, taking her rough, dirty hands away from her face, which is dripping with green, slimy tears.

"We promise. Now come on, we have to escape!" you cry. Out of water, your voice is like a beautiful, enticing song. The others stare at you, entranced, as you lead the way out of the chamber.
