Trying

When you get home and are let out of the pet cage, the mom immediately pulled out her phone, you hear her mumble "The must've gotten a lucky guess." Then she puts down the phone and walks away. Bored again, you approach the stairs you can't climb, you try to lift your front paws as high as you can, which seems to be only a couple inches, definitely not enough to climb a staircase. You try to jump up the first step, it doesn't work, but after trying again a few times, your front paws grasp the carpet on the first stair. Pulling with all your 30-day old Labrador might, you struggle, and eventually make it up the first step. You keep trying and you make it to the 3rd step before you get tired.

Too tired for any more stairclimbing, which felt like mountain climbing, you go down the 3 stairs you climbed and go back to your doggy bed in the laundry room. You fall over on the doggy bed, and think to yourself "Come on just fall asleep Spot!" And then you realize, you just called yourself Spot, that was your dog name not your real name. Your human mind still seems perfectly fine despite that, maybe it's just because that's all you've been refered to for the past few days in this body. After a while you do fall asleep on the bed.

You wake up again to the sound of the door opening, you walk out of the laundry room to see Maria on a phone, you didn't even know she had her own phone, she seemed to be in a sad yet angry voice. You wonder who she is talking to. You hear her mother yell "Maria, Spot hasn't been walked today, could you please take him?" Maria completely ignores her and keeps yelling at the phone, the last thing you hear Maria say is "Fine, come over to my house to get your stuff and them we'll never talk again." After hearing that you think, was she talking to a boyfriend? You didn't know how old she was, you couldn't even see how tall she was. Maria ran upstairs and quickly came back with a leash, you assume she is about to walk you again. She still has the same look on her face that she did when she was talking on the phone.
