A highly dangerous proposal

The witch makes you an offer. "I will return you to normal size and free you ... if you will help me find those people who came here earlier to look around."

"The archaeological team?", you gasp. "What happened to them? Are they alright?"

"I don't know", the witch sighs. "Please, I am not an evil witch. I will explain if you agree." Having no choice, you agree to help the witch. She then takes you out of the cage and returns you to normal size before continuing her explanation. "They were looking around my castle, so I made them a deal. I would tell them everything, if they would simply help me to explore my portal."

"What portal?", you ask as the witch leads you toward the center of the castle.

The witch opens a door. "This portal." You gasp in shock. A strange hole hangs in midair, clouded with mist that seems to extend farther than the wall beyond. It looks like it could lead anywhere as it hangs there, its colors shifting in an eye-hurting pattern. The witch continues, "They went in and have not come out since. Hold this walkie-talkie, please." You take the proffered gadget.

"What should I do?"

The witch laughs, "Follow them, stupid." Then, she pushes you in.
