Lost in the caves

As you try to leave the cave, you bump into some kind of invisible wall or something. It's as if the outside is just a backdrop and you can't enter it.

With a sigh you walk back into the depths of cave, discovering that this time you can see clearly. You find a passageway and hope it leads you out.

Instead, you find yourself at a crossroads. You also find a grating in the floor covering a pit and a rope ladder leading up into a shaft.
