Itching to Transform

"What am I going to do now?" you groan, sinking to a sitting position.

"You could come with me and live deep in the woods and mountains with all the other bigfeet" suggests LBF "If I can ever get my toe out of this tap!"

"That sounds cool!" says Scott "But why haven't I transformed like you?" I've had just as much contact with LBF as you have."

Pontering about this for a few moments, you suddenly eureka. "Fleas! My contact with LBF was when I freed his foot the first time, back in the woods. You didn't come into close contact with him until after he had a bath, and I didn't come into close contact with you between touching you and having a shower! It has to be fleas!"

"What sort of fleas pass on transformations?" asks Scott

"I haven't told you this because I wasn't sure if I could trust you" says LBF "But I was captured by other humans not long before I met you. They examined me and kept me in a tiny dark room where I picked up the fleas. I managed to escape, but when I was running I slipped and got my foot stuck under that tree root."

"Who were these humans?" you ask

"I don't know," answers LBF "but I heard the name 'Dr Hex'"
