In the mind of a wacky old coot

You grab another book from the shelf and open it. Instead of various 'secret' vials, you find actual written notes, dated from around the last time you grandpa visited. They read:

My animal potions are complete failures. Every one I make becomes a black color, indicating the failed serum. I was convinced my research had been enough. I am hiding my failures in my secret book compartments, as there is really no safe way to dispose of them, and I fear I may be poisoned if I try to drink all of them away...

The writing babbles on about disappointments. The next entry is more interesting.

I don't believe it! My latest batches of serums work! I can hardly believe it myself, but here I am, a woman, writing of my discoveries! Next I will...

More babbling. Feh. Finally you find something important. The last entry's writing looks very shaky.

My Fem-Antidote has turned black! I...have no idea what to do. I've tried every trick in the book. Perhaps there is no antidote? That is the conclusion I have reached... no return to my former self. I cannot reverse my transformation, at least not in this field. I'm going now. Goodbye, cursed laboratory!

So, it seems you will not find an antidote in the lab. And your grandpa is also stuck as a female. Yay. Your thoughts are interrupted.

"No fair! I just noticed your breasts are bigger than mine!" says Mike, master of the anti-climactic moment.
