Up: Game 4  Up: Game 4 Outline

A dark awakening.

You take a moment to adjust to your new body by drumming your fingers on your palm, running your tongue over your beak, and generally avoiding any major movements. Slowly you open your eyes, bracing yourself for the shock of seeing the change. What you see is much worse. Darkness. You screw your eyes shut and open them again. Eyes open or shut didn’t change much. Either way you only see darkness.

A sudden panic takes hold of you and you start screaming for Dr. Maroo. She could fix this. It was probably temporary or something. It had to be. Your shouts change as you start calling for help. Anyone would do. Anything to drive back this all-encompassing darkness.

Your throat grows dry and you stop shouting, feeling self-conscious about losing your nerve. Still, why wasn’t anyone coming to help you? Dr. Maroo said that you’d be out for 20 hours. Surly she hadn’t forgotten about you? Still the facts were there. Nobody had come to your calls. Your fate is in your own hands, however changed they may be.
