Is this a Joke to You?

Monster Involved: The Prankster

You just settled into your place in the haunted house. You are supposed to be playing a man lying under a blanket, on a bed, who then sits up and screams. It's a pretty simple role, and you think you can handle it perfectly. The haunted house will be open to the public in about five minutes. You are completely prepared for your part, but you are hoping that no actual monsters come by and bother you. You lay down on the bed, your whole body under the blanket except for your head, and wait. You hope that you don't fall asleep, because that would be embarrassing. Suddenly, the door creaks open...

1: Who's there?

2: It's me! Haha! The Prankster!

1: Please leave! It's almost time for the haunted house to open! You can visit afterwards.

2: Aw. Sounds like someone's a bit grumpy. I know what will cheer you up!

The Prankster crosses her eyes and sticks out her tongue.

1: Why did you just do that?

2: Well, I'm the Prankster. I can freeze things, create things, and destroy things, but none of that is more important than my ability to make people laugh. If I make someone laugh, then my powers become even stronger than before!

1: Okay, that's good and all, but just come back later!

2: Can't do that! I need to gain more power! You like this?

The Prankster squeezes her nose and it makes a sqeaky sound. You aren't ammused.

2: Fine. I guess you've asked for it.

The Prankster creates fire to burn around the bed that you are in. You sit up in panic.

2: Smile; giggle! It's funny! Laugh!

1: Ha ha ha! Now please stop this!

2: That won't work, that wasn't genuine.

The Prankster freezes you. You can't move.

2: Hehe! You've asked for it now!

1: Hey! Stop! I can't move!

The Prankster pulls up the bottom of the blanket, and begins to tickle your feet.

2: This is your own fault!

You know that if you laugh, the Prankster wins. But it's so hard not giggle a little, because the Prankster is trying REALLY hard to make you laugh. Finally, you let out a loud laugh. The Prankster steps back, and you are unfrozen. She looks around the room, and seems a tiny bit taller to you, and more powerful, too.

2: Thank you, human! I hope you enjoyed our time today! See you again!

The Prankster walks out of the room, and you are left on the bed, alone.
