Matthew wants to know why a girl is answering his friend's phone

"Oh, hey, Matthew, what's up?" you say into the phone, forgetting for a moment that you are now a girl. You slap yourself on the forehead, wishing you had not answered.

"Uh, hello? Is Sam there? Who is this?" Matthew asks, sounding confused. Matthew did not expect to hear a female voice on the other end.

"Uh, sorry, we haven't met, have we?" you say with embarrassment. "I'm Sam's friend, Clarissa. Sam isn't here right now, uh, sorry . . . but he should be back soon!"

"Oh . . . ooooookay," Matthew says suspiciously. "But why do you have Sam's cell phone?"

"Because, uh, he dropped it in front of his house," you hastily respond, giving the best lie you can think of. "I didn't see it till after he was gone."

"Are you still at Sam's house?" Matthew asks, still not sounding convinced that you are who you claim to be.

"Actually, I'm leaving the club with some friends right now," you tell him.

"No kidding! I'm just across the street from there. In fact, I think I see you!"

You turn and look across the street from the club. Sure enough, Matthew is there, waving at you. He starts to cross the street and head in your direction.

Your girlfriends see what Matthew is doing. One of them, Amy, giggles and asks you, "Wow, I didn't know you were seeing HIM." Matthew is one of the more popular boys in school. Many of the female students would love to date him.

You smile, feeling your face warm with embarrassment. "Well, yeah, he's kind of cute, I guess," you say, feeling odd to be saying that about a guy. It is a lie, of course, because even though you are now physically a woman, your male attraction toward women has not changed.

Matthew walks up to you. Amy and your other girlfriends wait expectantly to hear what you and Matthew will say to each other. They seem to think the two of you are seeing each other! Matthew, however, just wants to find out how you came to know Sam (not realizing that you, in reality, ARE Sam).
