Lord of the Dance?

You and Bryan decide to head to the blue village. It takes only a few minutes to reach the village square. Everyone you meet on the way seems glad to see you, and noone seems surprised that you're being accompanied by a floating violin.

In the square, you are quickly able to convince a crowd to gather for a special concert. When there are two dozen people gathered, Bryan begins to play. For the first few minutes, the people seem to have blank expressions on their faces. Then one of the women notices you tapping your toe along to the music. She and the man with her do the same. Soon the whole crowd is getting in on the act.

This is good, you think, as you start to dance around. In another minute, other people start dancing too. Before long, the whole crowd is performing a rowdy jig. They seem all ready to wander off and tickle each other.

"Let's get going," you tell Bryan. Bryan tells you to lead the way out of the square. You dance to the edge of the square, and then make a terrible discovery. You are physically incapable of stepping foot outside the village square! The villagers keep dancing, not seeming to notice anything unusual.

You dance back to Bryan. "I can't leave the square!" you tell him.

Bryan has made a discovery of his own. "I can't stop playing!" he cries. "I tried to stop, thinking that would let you leave the square, but I can't! Dude! What are we gonna do?"

You can't think of anything, except that something ought to happen once you or Bryan or the villagers get tired. So Bryan keeps playing and you all keep dancing. Noone is able to stop. Then you notice that the villagers are looking less and less like people...
