She's so very...

It's hard for you and Nicky to walk at a quick pace. As often as not, one or the other of you has to support the other, and there are times when you both sink to the ground and laugh for a while.

After the third or fourth such giggle break, you and Nicky look up to see a cute girl approaching. She runs up to you while you try to pull yourselves together. When she reaches you, she seems too intent on her purpose to notice whether or not either of you is blushing.

The girl says her name is Kerry; you and Nicky introduce yourselves. "I'm here on a camping trip with some friends, and they're in big trouble!" Kerry tells you. "We're camping out by the side of a hill over that way," (she points to the left), "and I went to get wood for a campfire. When I came back, I heard a strange noise, so I crept up very quietly, and saw that something really weird had happened. A group of four wild ostriches had come to our campsite and my friends were all tied up and laughing like crazy! As soon as I saw the birds tickling my friends with their feathers, I crept away and came to find help. You two are the first people I've seen, and... hey, what's so funny? I'm telling the truth, I swear it!" she exclaims.

While Kerry was speaking, you and Nicky had been feeling the urge to laugh again. You'd both suppressed it until she got to the part about her friends being tied up. Then you'd caught each other's glance. Nicky couldn't help it and started giggling, which made you laugh too.

"No, we believe you-hoo-hoo!" you cry.

"Right," adds Nicky, "it's just that we-heeheehee!"

"We ate these berries we sawhawhawHAW!"

"Because we didn't knowHOHOHO!"

Together you and Nicky gasp, "They were GIGGLEFRUIT!"

You and Nicky start to double up, both something about Kerry and her distress makes you both feel a little more sober. She listens as the two of you explain that you need to boil some coconut milk for the antidote before it's too late. Then you both start laughing heartily as Kerry sums up the situation.

"We can try to find a coconut and get you two back to normal first, but then my friends might get tickled to death or the ostriches might take them away somewhere while we're looking. If we save my friends first, we can get you the coconut easily when they're free, but you two won't be much use in rescuing them in your condition.' Kerry frowns, then says, "Aha! I have it!"
