Business Picks Up

"Whoops, my mistake!" you exclaim, eager to calm the bellboy. "I must not have blown hard enough before. Please accept my apologies and help yourself to some candy, on the house." You hold open your attaché case, but the bellboy pushes it away with broad, callused hands.

"No sweat," he replies. "I thought that it was some gag, but I can see otherwise. Who do you work for, anyhow?"

You choose your words carefully. "It's a relatively new company by the name of Spells 'R' Us. To be honest, I just started work and am unfamiliar with some of the merchandise here." You gesture back to the attaché case for added effect.

"Oh, that's cool," answers the bellboy. "I just started work, too, but my grandfather owns this place. Hey, if you want, I could clear it for you to set up a table downstairs to promote your stuff. We're hosting a convention this week, and you'll blend right in with everyone else. Just promise not to blow that whistle again."

You thank the bellboy, and in no time, you are handing out samples of Ether Ore and Modeling Plasma by the dozen. To your right, you notice the bellboy and his grandfather. "What's wrong with your ears?" asks the gaunt old man.

"Nothing. I can hear you just fine!" responds his grandson. At precisely that moment, the bellboy is approached by a buxom starlet, who tugs imploringly at his arm. He mutters something to his grandfather and leaves with her, waving to you as he exits the lobby.
