" What's going on here?? " two female voices yell in unision. You gasp as two women - one dressed as a nurse, one as a nun - run up to you.
" What is a wolf doing here? " asks the younger of the pair, the nurse. She's pretty damn cute.
" And why have you stopped your meditation? God said no talking for a week! It will teach you to use abbreviations when talking! " the slightly older one scolds. She has dark skin and gleaming, intelligent eyes.
" Rahhgh! Zhhraaahhhh!! " you croak, meaning to say " Who are you? ". Oddly, though, she seems to understand you.
" I am Mother Teresa. This is Florence Nightingale, and this is Mahatma Gandhi. " she explains.
" Graahhh!! Zaaahhhhhraa!! RAARGGHHH!! " ( " I thought you all died ages ago! And why do you look so young? )
" It IS Heaven - we can look however we like. It is rather vain, but nice to be like this again. More spiritual people - like Gandhi here - like to maintain the form they had when they died. " this time Florence answers. She has a pretty, tinkling voice, which matches her gleaming hair and pretty features very well.
" Raahhhh!! HhhaaaRRRhhh!!! Kraaahhhghhhhh!! " ( " Who else is here in Heaven? )
" Oh, many people - mostly Doctors and philosophers, some good activists, and some people who made people happy when they were alive - entertainers, actors, etc. Marilyn Monroe and Spike Milligan are two good examples. Good, honest people go to ' Minor Heaven ' - it's just like Earth, but there is no night, and no work to do. " Gandhi explains this time, grinning, to reveal no teeth whatsoever.
Suddenly, a gong begins ringing, and all three jump.
" It's time for the meeting.. " Florence murmurs, and hurries off, followed by Teresa. Gandhi continues meditating, floating, in a lotus position, a foot or two above the ground.
Well, what now? Follow them? Or.. ( Shudder ) go back?
