Sensory overload

You all ride down to the Fairground. You are a bit excited to be riding in a car again. You past misadventures had made doing so impossible. Of course your also soo small now to see over the dashboard, but your not too bothered since Albert is driving anyway.

As you get out of the car you see the ferris wheel and a few crowds of people walking the grounds, enjoying the games, but as you draw closer, the... scent hit you.

You all go through and get your tickets, Albert and Fred play the games, and you try to enjoy yourself as well. But your having problems. Your head is spinning, and it's hard to focus. "Hey," says Fred, noticing you lagging behind, "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine," you say, though it is a lie, "How about some cotton... no, um..." you start, but remember you don't eat anymore. And your head is starting to pound. "Excuse me." you finally say, and dart into a bathroom, closing the door and kneeling, clutching your head.

You are being bombarded with hundreds of different sensations. Everyone's individual desires and enjoyments saturate this place. It's like walking through a perfume department with all the bottles dumped across the floor. Albert and Fred soon come in.

"What's wrong," asks Albert, "You look sick."

"Its... this place." you say, then realize you've never explained this new sense to your friends, "Since I became a demon, I can... feel... desires, enjoyment, indulgence... I guess that's what it is, but... so far it's just been you guys, and here, there's so many people..."

Albert and Fred exchange glances, processing this new info. "I'm not sure I can handle this, it's too many..." you say.

"Ok... ok..." says Albert, thinking on this, "So... some sort of sensory overload." he say, and kneels down. "Ok, first... close your eyes, and take a deep breath," he says, trying to make his voice comforting, "Just listen to the sound of my voice. Focus on your breathing, and let everything else slip away."

You follow his instructions, trying to just breath in, breath out.

"Nothing else matters, your just adrift in a sea, just you and the water."

You feel your head begin to clear. Your breathing becomes more regular, and you open your eyes, feeling a lot better.

"Thanks," you say, "It's not as bad now."

"Are you going to be okay?" he asks, concern still on his face.

"Yeah, I think so, it's just a lot to take in at once." you say.

You get up, and walk out, taking a few breaths as the bulk of it hits you again. You focus on your breath, just you, and the ocean, until the 'noise' begins to die down in your head. "Yeah, I'm good now," you say, "Sorry for the fuss."

"So... want to get some funnel cake?" says Fred, before he remembers his mistake, "Oh, right, sorry..."

"No, it's okay, funnel cake sounds great, and I enjoy you guys enjoying it." you say honestly, then re-think your statement. "I hope that doesn't sound creepy does it?" you say, a worried tone in your voice.

Albert suddenly snorts, having held in a laugh. "Yeah, it's really creepy." he says, "But you know, that's not your fault, so let's just roll with it." He says, heading towards the food stands...
