Escaping the Island

"I'm gonna need to ride your back, Shane!" you tell the dragon.

"But look at meeeee, I'm fat! Howwww can I carry youuuu on my back, let alone my own weight?"

"You don't understand Alligator magic," you say, "the fatter you are, the better shape you're in."

"Alright, I guessssss." Shane says and he crouches to allow you on his back.

"Where tooooo?" Shane asks.

"Head towards the nearest shore from here, away from this island." you say. Shane flaps his wings hard and you both go airborne. He flies southeast for several hours before you notice a beach. It's the same beach you were on before the Pyrots abducted you!

"Land us there!" you order Shane. He lands on the sand, but before you can get off of him you start to feel strange. Both your's and Shane's bodies are shrinking, your bellies are thinning, your scales being replaced by skin. You both have become human again!

"What?" you say, confused. You can't see the Alligatr helmets on either your's and Shane's heads.

"We're back to being human!" Shane says excitedly, "Thanks for your help."

"Uh, sure," you say, still confused, "But I think we should stay here tonight. There's a cave nearby we can use for shelter."

Shane follows you into the cave where you both take a long rest.
