Let Me Help

With her bright smile and charming ways, the lady in the white smock quickly puts you at ease. Before you know it, you have shared your entire bizarre adventure with her, starting with your fateful encounter with the talking wolf and leading all the way up to your present predicament. The only things you learn about her in return are her name (Mary) and her occupation (research chemist).

Eventually, you are far enough past the fourth-floor landing for Mary to squeeze through the door. She thanks you for your company, wishes you luck, and turns to leave. Halfway through the door, however, she stops and turns.

"You know," she says coyly, "my R&D group is working on something that just might solve your problem. Would you like to meet them?" She opens the door wide.

Do you go with Mary, or do you continue your arduous uphill climb?
